Subject: Sick leaflet delivered to Manningham

Date: Sun, 17 Oct 1999 18:32:27 +0000

Dear KDIS

My opinion of our financial institutions sank to a new low last week when the leaflet from Axa dropped through my letter box.

To say the leaflet was sick is an understatement. I can only hope that no one who lost a friend or relative in the Paddington crash received one.

Nor does Axa's protestations that the leaflet was planned long before the Paddington crash make matters better. That tragedy has merely served to show that Axa are cynically playing upon people's fears in a bid to make money.

Life insurance may be a necessity in the modern world, but people should be left to decide for themselves whether or not they want a policy.

Vultures like Axa should learn to control their scavenging instincts or get out of the business.

Yours Sincerely

C Hopkins, Manningham, Bradford
