The 1in12 Cafe opens from 12.00 on Saturdays for cheap vegan food, decent tea and coffee, access to the library and internet facilities, and for general socialising.

Sometime the opening will be a themed fund raiser (Prisoner support, animal rights, support for the unemployed etc.) other times there'll just be some volunteers dishing up tasty grub for its own sake.

The fortnightly 1in12 Cafe is where we set aside some time - in between stuffing our faces - to take care of the building and the activities which go on within it. For example, there might be a skill share, or a membership-card making session,  or a bit of a tidy up.

If you'd like to get involved in the cafe collective just turn up at a few Sunday meetings so you can find out what the club's about, come along to some Saturday openings to meet the current volunteers, and arrange some induction for yourself so you don't burn the building down and/or poison everyone.
