The Staff & Finance Committee is elected at the AGM each year to be the public face of the club with respect to the tedious bureaucracy of running a club that sells alcohol, though usually no onerous duties fall to the committee...

...except attending the fortnightly meeting where they meet with the workers' and representatives of the bar volunteers and chew over the minutiae of current events.

(sometimes we just make a few membership cards up and have a couple of drinks)
